Will Howard > Kyle McCord.
That’s not meant to be a knock against Kyle McCord, I’m rooting for him to ball out at Syracuse, and I think he will, just like he did in week one against Ohio. He looked GREAT. Great, however, isn’t elite.
There’s just a BIG difference between Syracuse and Ohio State.
Throwing 25+ TDs while leading your team to 9-10 wins at Syracuse is considered a great season, and don’t get me wrong. It is.
At Ohio State however, it’s different. Those stats and that record just don’t and won’t ever cut it. The pressure and the demand to be great exists on an entirely different level and while McCord is a talented QB, he just wasn’t the guy that was going to get the Buckeyes where they needed to go.
Will Howard is.
He showcased that this past Saturday against Akron. He showed the leadership, fire, and ability to extend plays that the QB position lacked all last season.
The road to the championship seems clear for this Ohio State team.
And with Will Howard behind the wheel, I think they can reach their destination.
Go Bucks! O-H!
